Deferring a year

I'm applying only to Western. Does anyone know if I would be able to defer matriculation until 2004 should I be accepted?

From what I've heard, you can only defer if you have a serious medical issue. And, you can only be "reinstated" if you are medically cleared by your doctor... I know that that's Touro's policy for sure and I heard it was Western's too, but you might want to call to make sure.
