has anyone deferred an acceptance to NYCOM? i called their admissions office and they said i had to e-mail the director of admissions and let her know my situation. and then i was told that they grant very few deferrals.
i don't have a great reason to give them. i have personal reasons, but none that would stand out as a valid reason to defer. i'd really have to make something up. but i'm nervous as to what to make up because i have a friend who deferred from another school because her mom was sick, and she seems to recall that the school asked for a letter from her mom's physician. (which i'm pretty sure does not violate HIPAA as long as her mother consented to the letter being written.) i wouldnt' want to get stuck in something i can't back up.
if anyone has successfully deferred from NYCOM or knows someone who has, please let me know. thanks!!
