Hello everyone,

Is there any sort of structured timeline for the process after you submit your application to AACOMAS?
I've been searching and searching, but I can't seem to find a good answer. Also, I'm taking my MCAT on the 18th, will programs send me secondaries before my scores are attached?

Thanks

After your transcripts and application are verified by AACOMAS, it will be sent to the schools you chose to apply to. Some schools will send you a secondary request immediately, some will wait for your MCAT scores, and some will wait until they completely review your application. Once you receive secondary requests, you need to return them ASAP to have the highest chance of receiving interview invitations. Each school has a different timeline on how fast they review secondaries but almost everyone does rolling admissions now so you have to answer them ASAP. Do not do anything based on the deadlines because most schools fill their classes long before the deadlines arrive. Last year, I had one school send me an interview invitation within a few days of receiving my secondary. Another called me three months after I did so. They are all different.
