It says in secrets that dehyration and diuretics can cause HYPOVOLEMIC HYPOnatremia but it also says these can cause Hypernatremia. I don't get now it would cause the first.

Please explain

I think you would get hypernatremia first with those two conditions then when you get thirsty and start drinking water which is hypotonic, you end with hyponatremia.
