I think it's a good program but I feel it'll be difficult to find predents/post baccs that are in their gap year that would like to spend an entire year doing just dental lab tech work.
Most predents doing a gap year are either looking to improve their GPA or DAT and much rather enroll into a masters program or a pre-clinical masters program that is geared toward doing upper level biology classes to gain admission into professional school OR they are just waiting to apply next cycle... but I feel the latter isn't as populous. I think it would be a good program if the program was incorporated into a biomedical sciences masters or an SMP but I don't see it being a lucrative stand-alone program due to the lack of demand.... especially if they have to spend money and time for it and come out with no technical degree or anything.
But it'll be a good program if you don't mind teaching less than 10 students at a time.
