Telling them gimme some scholarship money or else i'll go to the other school isnt the way to go. Just ask them for financial aid they'd be happy to help.

I would say that the most they can do is say ”no”.. they won’t revoke your acceptance. If I were you, i’d ask if there are any scholarships that you’d be able to apply for and mention your financial situation. Don’t flat out ask for money as thats probably not going to work.. there are thousands of students who could really use a scholarship/financial assistance and have no way to fund school except for loans.. just the name of the game

no harm in reaching out but don’t expect a handout
