The OP is so ignorant with their post. Makes you wonder where the heck they grew up.

Most “cities” are 20-40% black. Washington DC is 40% black. 40% non Hispanic white but their public school system sucks.

Another example is the “city” of Dallas is 25% black and 35% white. But again the public schools inside the city sucks.

All cities within the city limits are diverse.
Most public school systems inside the cities suck.

So the OP needs to reword their question

I want a “metro” area that includes population area 20-40 miles outside the inner city that includes good public schools.

I want a “metro” area that is diverse like PG county in dc area which is the wealthiest or one of the wealthiest predominantly black counties in the USA.

How is this racist? It's great that all top 20 cities in population fit the profile of diversity but most of them don't hit the other boxes - strong job market, great schools, and reasonable cost of living and housing. The last is probably the hardest to fulfill. And is pretty much in direct opposition to great schools, which typically raises real estate prices.

Very few cities have good public schools.

You mention city. You need to clarify are you talking city or metro areas.

A city is very diverse. A metro area suburb is not diverse especially white/affluent suburb

A suburb often times very white (or Asian) tends to have the better school district. But suburbs aren’t cities and that’s what you are asking about. A city with good school districts.

Detroit the city is dirt cheap to live. Go live inside the city limits of Detroit. Detroit Michigan in general pays very well. So Detroit city. Cheap. Good anesthesia market.

What else do you want?
Do you want to send you kid to Detroit inner city public schools?
