1 question, arent the halogens soluble with Ca, Ba and Sr?
I've searched a couple of sources and compounds such as CaCl2, BaCl2, CaBr2, SrI2 are highly soluble.

All chlorides, bromides and iodides are soluble except when combined with Ag+, Pb2+ and Hg2+.
