A classmate of mine is currently on a 2-week rads rotation, which I have coming up in December. The radiologist told him that "he doesn't even want students," and that he doesn't know why they keep sending him students. Apparently he hates teaching, and therefore the student on rotation ends up sitting around all day learning nothing. Actually, this guy is a miserable wretch and usually ends up ranting all day about his wife. Word on the street is that this guy is miserable and has lots of problems.

Okay, call me crazy, but I don't really want to do this rotation. Now granted, I can survive almost anything for two weeks, but I'm paying a lot of money for my education, and this may be my only rads rotation.

So the question is, do I say something to administration, i.e. try to get the rotation changed, or do I just "suck it up" and deal with it?

I don't want to be a "problem student," ya know...making requests like this...but I feel I do have a right to an education. What would you all do? If I'm going to act, I need to do it soon.

contact the registrar STAT and switch into another elective.

I second that!

He can't be the only person teaching rads. Are you sure that you will be assigned to him. That is an odd rotation if you spend it all with one person. Usually radiology rotations give you time in several different sections of radiology along with lots of lectures. I'd say try to see if you will be assigned to that radiologist and ask to change to someone else if you are.
