Dell
Pros:
true pass fail preclinical
1 year preclinical
independent year built it
got a scholarship

Cons:
no ties to the area
super small class size (50)

Tulane
Pros:
heavy ties to the area, grew up nearby
know many current students; community im looking for
larger class size (190)

Cons:
Cost $114,000 a year
Ranked into tertiles

Summary: Need help deciding how to move forward. Logically, 114k is just way too much to pay, but could I try and leverage my current scholarship for one at Tulane? Only have a few days

Dell. You need to go cheaper here.
Tulane also has in-house exams not sure about Dell.

All else being equal, I would choose Tulane (and it sounds like you would too). However, all else is not equal: Tulane will cost $450,000 more than Dell. Unlelss money is not an issue for you or your family or Tulane provides a substantial scholarship, I would choose Dell. I've found that money is easy to borrow and spend, but hard to pay back. Your future self will thank your present self or making a financially wise decision.

@kitkatlover, are you wealthy?
Instead of loan payments on $500,000 tuition, you could buy a car or put a down payment on a house :wut:

I agree, I’m aiming for a matched offer no doubt otherwise it’s clear.

Current MS1 at tulane, I love it here but the Tulane name is def not worth 450k, go with Dell its a great school as well and the people I know there are having a good experience
