My school requires me to do some short answers for them to develop a committee letter and I was looking for some help. how should i respond to this question:

1) Are you satisfied with your academic performance? Why or why not? Please explain any blemishes on your transcript.

i mean of course i am not, just as most people. but if i say i'm not, how do i explain that? i mean i know i didn't do as well because i didnt do the work but how would i explain that blemish in a professional setting. thank you in advance!

You are going to see similar questions asked on some secondary applications. It's basically saying if you have a bad semester or something, this is your chance to explain it now instead of them seeing it with no explanation. I would advise you not to dissect every bad blemish you got because then you come off as an excuse maker. I would only go into it if you had a bad semester. Hope this helps.

This question is a perfect opportunity to go into great detail about any F- ups during your undergraduate years.

Answer extensively since your committee has no Length Restrictions, so they can defend you much better than you can with your personal statement.
