in a posterior crossbite relationship which of the following may contact in a working movement ?
outer aspect of mandibular facial cusp
outer aspect of maxillary lingual cusp
inner aspect of mandibular lingual cusp answer

please someone explain the answer? as far as I know inner supporting cusp contact happens in NON WORKING side of ideal relationship , and outer aspect of the supporting cusp with inner aspect of guiding cusp and opposite of that also happens in working side of ideal relationship
I want to know how would that be in crossbite , base on this q, working and nonworking interfereance contact will exchange their place in crossbit , please give me a correct explanation if you know thanks

hey please somebody explain crossbite contacts in working and non working movement
pleaseeeeeeee

I cant explain.........but...............
Did you try drawing the diagram (from a proximal aspect) in normal and crossbite relations to understand?

in crossbite, supporting cusp is mandibular lingual and maxillary facial, now working side is MANDIBLE MOVING LATERALY so now the mandibular teeth would slide towards the outside, supporting cusps are mandibular lingual so now when it is moving outside. now in a cusp the inner aspect is towards the central fossa nad outer aspect outside. so the maxillary cusp moves along the inner incline of mandibular lingual cusp in a posterior cross bite

I am not sure but I think it is distal base on the kaplan explanation , it is mesial in mandibular second molar for sure .
😕

i think it shud be mesial third of crown since mesiobuccal and mesiolingual cusps r larger compared to distolingual....
