these are more I found, Do you agree that these are mistakes or did I get it wrong?
Anatomy:
121:
light meromyosin: back bone of myosin
heavy meromyosin: lateral cross bridges
terms exchanged?
308: internal jagular + subclavian veins form s. vena cava
correct: brachiocephalic
310: umbalical veins later be lateral umbilical ligaments
correct: medial umbilical ligament
107: floor of post. neck triangle: include ant. belly of omohyoid
correct: post. belly
172: bartholin's duct opens on the sublingual papilla in the floor of the mouth.
correct: on the submandibular duct
Physiology/Biochem:
151: degree of order of a system
correct; degree of disorder
53: tunica adventitia in arteries are thicker than those in veins.
correct: isn't it thicker in veins? i know in viens tunica adventitia is larger than media.. but isn't it thicker than that of the artery as well?
106: a dietery iodine defeciency will increase the secretion of thyroglobulin (as oppesd to thyroxine, triiodothromine or tsh)
correct: iodine decrease t3, t4 production and increase TSH.
115: glucocorticoids move feuls from peripheral tissues to the liver where gluconeogenesis and glycogen synthesis are stimulated.
correct: glycogen synthesis??
dental anatomy:
116: the inner enamel epithelium is essential for initiation of dentin formation once enamel is formed.
correct: dentin is formed before enamel
189: when the mouth is closed, the thicker posterior band lies immediately above the condyle. when opening the thinner zone become above it and when maximally opened the condyle is beneath the anterior band
Correct: i read my surgery book (petrson and tucker) which states that the thin zone of the condyle always translate with the condyle and stays in the same relationship through out mouth opening?
155: perm maxilary second molar: when viewd from the occlusal the mesiodistal line angle is most acute
: mesiodistal?!!
146: perm mand first premolar: root has no distal curvature.
: really?
Questions:
1- rete pegs are found in the oral mucosa but not on the free ginigiva or sulucular epithelium and the junctional epi. unless it's inflamed?
2- in the dental anatomy part: are there pictures of real teeth that we are asked to identify?
3- which is the shortest papilla; between the mandibular 2nd premolar and 1st premolar or that between the 1st and 2nd mandibular molars?
4- temporalis muscle originates from the inferior o superior temporal line?
