Does it matter a great deal what year the decks are from. For example, is 2001 inferior to 2005? Any input is appreciated.

It depends on when you are planning on taking your boards. If you plan on taking them next December than I don't think it will matter much from what upper classman have said. I you plan on taking them after Dec, as in 2007, the board format is changing slightly and the new 2006-2007 dental decks have a new section called "clinical vignettes" to help familiarize students with the new clinical question format.

For those who don't know, they say that new format will contain 20% of clinical scenario questions.
