Can anyone send me a copy of their essay or draft so I get an idea of format used.. English is not my first language and I haven't take an english class in over 6 year. I would appreciate any help ..Thanks🙂

I believe you need to follow directions on how to copy and paste personal statement on application because they require specific format..Read Instruction on section before submiting..Once you submit your application and pay fee you can not edit it anymore.

I am a Dental Hygienist and I am not sure if my essay can contain "Our" type of terminology of words.. I am not sure if I should use normal English language or I can assume the reader is a dentist and understand!!!

the Doc is already a Doc.. I believe!!!! so I dont think is submitting any statement... But I AM....So I can also use your advice 🙂.. will send you my essay too for your opinion.. I know you can not copy and paste it on your application because We have different experiences in life.hehe. So I would appreciate your help too...

Is your dental lingo going to be in a language other than English? Do you need a translation for "when you are ready"?

As for the OP, ccm5166, you actually are sounding pretty condescending...not sure if you're trying to sound that way or not. You're coming across like if your reader is not a dentist or RDH, then they won't know what the h*** you're talking about in your personal statement. Try not to come across as arrogant in your PS. Be genuine and honest in your PS, whether you're using "dental lingo" or not.

Also, doc toothache is giving up free time to help applicants with their personal statements. Plus, doc has been on this forum waaayyyy longer than you, so please don't cop an attitude with those trying to help.

LOL...I am glad our discussion here made you ... Let's blame my condescending attitude to the astrological sign "Aries".. But thanks, for sure I will try not to sound so arrogant on my Personal Statement.. There is nothing better than the feedback of ppl that wont feel sorry to tell me the true..
