dental experience on Application

Hi guys,

Sorry for another "stupid AADSAS" question... but I'm hoping someone was in a similar situation. I shadowed students at 2 dental schools, and I don't really have anything to put under "position title". Both shadowing experiences were set up by the dental clinic admin office. Can I just put "School Name Clinic"? Seems that they want a full name so they can verify...

Any suggestions?

Also if anyone from last year's cycle has any helpful tips on the app, please let me know... such as... mistakes you made you wish you hadn't... etc. Thanks!

If you'd click on the instructions it will say

Position Title = name of the position you held

This is how I interpret it:
I would say for sure "dental assistant" if they allowed you to help when you were shadowing or whatever you did for the doctor. If you just helped in the sterilization then I'd write "sterilization assistant".
Other position titles I can think of are receptionist, clerk or rover.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.

I agree with the last poster. I put dental assistant on one of mine (70hr) and I put volunteer on the other (bc it was only 10 hrs)

i have been shadowing a dentist from past 6 months...and i dont do any work at all...what would be my title?

Also under Extracurricular/Volunteer/Community Service section do we just put straight forward what kind of voluntary work we do? or can we talk about it in detail like how i like i, how it will help me in dental school...etc

You know what- I wrote my original question wrong. I meant to say, I don't have a SUPERVISOR NAME. I did not report to a specific person.. just followed a bunch of students! Anyone have experience with not having a "supervisor" in their shadowing experience??

yea i shadowed at vcu's clinic and i think i just said vcu school of dentistry as the supervisor
