hey everyone,

i have been shadowing a few dentists for the past few months but was wondering if there are any other ways to get more experience? do any of you work in a dental office, and if so, what do you do? any advice is much appreciated!!😳

The best exposure you're going to get is shadowing and working hands on. Keep doing what you're doing and the exposure will pay off.

hey! see if there is any clinics around you and ask if you can volunteer there. I started doing that and now am one of the dental assistants there. it gives you great hands on experience. if you don't have any around, ask the dentists that you are shadowing if they have any work available for you or see if any want to train you, worst case scenario is they say no...good luck but definitely see if you can get hands on experience.

thanks everyone 😀

there's also the option of hooking up with one of the organizations that go to central/south america for dental work. you'll get lots of experience there.

Where do you live? Certain states like Virginia have Mission of Mercy dental programs and always need volunteers that get hands on time with patients and the other dentists.
