On average (for those who have had an interview coach) how much did you guys spend and how many hours did you guys meet? AND was it worth it?

For those who self-practiced, do you wish you had practiced with an interview coach? Would that have made a difference in any of your outcomes?

Is that actually a thing people do now? When I was applying, the only recommendations were to stand in front of your mirror and practice answering questions. I also had one of my college professors ask me some standard interview questions and critique me.

I can see why an interview coach could maybe be beneficial but why not just ask a professor or mentor to assist? Maybe that's just me remembering college-me who wouldn't have been able to afford to hire someone for this purpose.

I know of some medical students doing it
but I've been seeing a couple of questions on SDN and the dental admissions fb page about the topic so I wanted to see if other people have had experience with it or not.

(I didn't realize it was uncommon for us pre-dents haha or maybe it's a new thing that applicants are doing now?)

there are a couple of posters who have been spamming, I mean posting since the cycle opened this year that have companies that charge lots of money to assist people in the application process

check to see if you have general or pre-health advising that do mock interviews
ask friends, relatives, co-workers to ask you sample questions
video yourself on your phone
practice in the mirror
just talk to people at the coffee shop or store

but most of all, RELAX AND BE YOURSELF

LOL I think I just got baited yesterday hahaha
It was a girl claiming she was from UCLA and used a company so I messaged her to see what company and she gave me an email but today I saw that her account was revoked lol

I think my school's career center has mock interview appointments but I wasn't sure if they would be able to cater to dental school interviews...

btw, @macsak you're so knowledgeable with this whole process haha thank you! 🙂
