It is the same job but, clinical and secretarial positions are like water and oil and deserve there own placement.
Secretaries handle phone calls, filing, paper work, ins. Stuff, and computer work.
Dental assistant are clinical personnel, dealing with the patients mouth, not their insurance or pocket.
There is nothing wrong by putting them separate.
If you put them together you are limited to how much you shine!!!
Example: I work in dental office and I pick phone and make appointments, and then I package instruments and suction pt.'s mouth......
Your choice, nothing wrong by separating them, and if anything is asked, you tell they are like water and oil, jk, but say that some times during the day you would perform different duties as An employee and wanted to separate the clinical and secretarial responsibilities,..... Something of that nature.
But if you are spending 80% of your work day doing assisting then, just put assisting only with minor secretarial responsibilities.
