hi guys, my dentist wanted me to tell him exactly what he wants me to talk about in his letter, and was wondering, what you guys think are good topics to hit.
so far i have....
-how well i intereact with patients and staff and my respect to them
-my sincere interest in dentistry
-quick learner and what ive done as a volunteer there
-mention grades and ECs
-noting hours and dates spent with him
anything else you think is importnat to mention? thank you for the help.
i told my dentist that i would bring my app, resume, grades to him, so i think that should be enough for him. anything else? 🙂 thanks!

Well, the letter from your dentist should focus on the dental aspects so IMO your grades and ECs are not really that important for this letter. This would have been covered in your application and transcripts. If anything, you should have the dentist comment on the procedures you've assisted or observed, your dexterity, as well as the other things you've mentioned above.

yeah i guess grades and other ECs dont need to be mentioned. thank you for the advice. 🙂

Ask if the dentist can relate a specific story of incident in the letter and not speak in generalities.
