I have an important question.
If you want to live in LA or SD or SF after dental school, is it advantageous to attend a Cali school?
Does that matter?
Will I have difficulties getting patients if I went to a school in east coast?
If I later specialize, the school I do DDS or DMD matter? or where I did residency is more important?
On the other hand, what if I do general dentistry ?
Thank you for your input.

Its not a bad idea to go to D school in the area in which you want to practice. You will make contacts in that area that can help you when you graduate and are looking for a job. As far as getting patients it really doesn't matter where you go to school as your patients won't know or care what school you attended. If you want to go into a specialty it doesn't matter if you have a DDS or a DMD but sometimes it is easier to get into a program at the school that you attended.

you prob wont have a problem finding px's on east vs west coast...but from the talk on here, Cali is getting more and more saturated with dents so finding a job there might be of more concern

If you can get in then go for it. Otherwise go to the cheapest chool that will accept you. After five years working elsewhere, you get Cali licensure by credential anyway.
