I see a lot of people's predents profile with them.

What are they and how could I get involved with them?

Call some dental labs and see if they will allow you to come in and observe. Once you're there they may let you practice wax ups, pour molds, paint porcelain, and drill away at some teeth. This may not answer the exact question you asked, but its a good way to get great experience for dental school. You will be ahead of other students. It's like a simulated training course. Of course you have to find a dental lab that will comply.

They are courses offered at some dental schools for predental students.

UoP had it in April, and will probably have it next year. I know Midwestern and UNLV also have a similar course. I have not personally done it, but people that have done it, liked it a lot. Plus, you get to meet the school's faculty.Hope this helps!
