Hi! I will be taking the east coast board exam a.k.a the NERB and I was wondering if I could still apply to any specialty program around the United States or would I only be able to apply to programs on the east coast? Please let me know! Thanks!

Depends on the program. Some require you to be licensed in the state of your program. Some only require you to be licensed somewhere. And others don’t require licensing at all since you will still be working under someone else’s license during the program (especially in those states that allow a residency to take the place of a licensing exam). It’s probably best to look into every program that you are interested in and check that it willing work before applying. However, the NERB is now the CDCA/ADEX and is accepted in like 45+ states, so I doubt you will have a problem.

Unfortunately, the CDCA has found a way $$$$ to be recognized in most states.
