Hello future doctors,
I am a second year dental student. I will most likely have to take USMLE step 1 next summer. the dental board has recently gone pass/fail so a lot of competitive dental residency programs have substituted USMLE or CBSE (which I'm told is very similar to USMLE in the format and level of difficulty) as a quantitative measure for applicants' understanding of basic sciences. We have taken pretty much all the subject courses in school i.e anatomy, physio, histo, path, micro, pharm, biochem etc although with less emphasis on clinical applications. I am not aiming to get a high score, but rather just to pass or get as close as to 200. Give or take, I have 8 weeks to seriously study for this. so i wanted to get your opinion. what are the best resources out there to use for someone like me? Is it possible to score 200 with 8 weeks of hardcore preparation? I got good grades in school for all the subjects listed above and did actually learn them at the time but this could be totally irrelevant since i'm a dental student and this is a medical board exam.
your input is highly appreciated.
Thanks
