Dental Students

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
better in dental school for sure. Kinda strange because I still slack off quite a bit, but when its time to get down n dirty...I am one dirty person.

Way, way better in dental school. I never really applied myself in undergrad, but have really applied myself in dental school with a vengeance, and it has paid off. Your grades in undergrad aren't a surefire predictor of your performance in dental school; what's most important is that you have a compelling reason to do well, and the drive to discipline yourself to put in the effort.

I was king in Undergrad, everyboy wanted to study with me. Dental school?? Damn, I am barely surviving. My poor hand skills are killing my grades, they're pittiful

undergrad was a joke, i was amazing

i havent found the right balance of: school, food, lab, sleep, schoool, laabbbb, some kind of physical activity, sleep...

i also dont like how someone else is telling me when to come to school and what to do in schoool...

dental school is just my kryptonite...not that i am failing but i am not getting the grades i had gotten used to as an undergrad

I feel you man! It sucks

How many of you feel that you've done better in dental school than you did in undergrad? Or the other way around?

the amount of studying i have been doing here is perhaps 10 times that of college. in college i would cram a night or two before the test and nail an A. i would stay up all night to write a paper for which i had a month and then get an A-.....here, forget it. if you want an A on a Biochem paper, you need to write it and edit it for a week. as far as tests, forget cramming. it won't do. you need to use what call "hypocramming"...basically, this means that you hyperstudy for a week or two before a test for which you should have started studying a month before.

....sorry folks..."enter" button kept clicking..

Do you not know your own dentist? Most dentists are more than happy to talk with their young patients about the field of dentistry, but SDN is an awesome resource if you have questions about dental school and stuff.

Thanks for posting everyone!
