Dental Therapies wil take over Dentists' job?

I've just noticed that ADEA signed to make a new job, called dental therapies. They will do simple jobs of dentists(GP)' like extraction or so. Do you think it's an alarm for us?

thats old news; some states are imlementing mid-level providers; their impact on our salaries and jobs has yet to be seen. there are arguments on both sides; some people say they'll increase our productivity (freeing us for more complex procedures), while others argue that they will be doing what we do for a lot cheaper (less eduction, less debt, etc). i'm just glad i practice in state that doesnt allow them
