hi all,
question for you all about dentin hypersensitivty:
1. i heard of some desensitizing agents (as well as toothpastes) that all you have to do is apply to the tooth surface. my question is if the enamel is in tact, would these dentinal tubule sealants have an effect? or are they only good for exposed dentin?
2. i had a patient that had sensitivity after a small class III lingual filling. sensitivity to cold. I know this may be due to a reversible pulpitis, but this sensitivy has lasted some weeks now. would the dentinal sealants work on this patient? could it be that i placed a faulty liner on this restoration?
thanks everyone.
