So the dentist I have been shadowing offered me to write my own LOR and he will read over it and sign it. I don't know where to start. I have already searched a lot for templates but did not find anything that's good. Did anyone go through this situation? would you be willing to share (private message) your LOR so I get some insight?

I know my wife was asked to write one of hers. I will try to find it but it has been a number of years now. The advice that she got was to keep it simple. Write about how the dentist knows you, what you saw in their office, some qualities that you want to highlight about yourself and a statement about them giving you a strong recommendation.

The dentist my wife shadowed wanted her to give the first draft so he knew what she wanted to be highlighted in the letter. It is definitely tough though, good luck.

I could write an LOR for myself in 10 mins. Everyone is an EXPERT on themselves. Most LORs are confidential but you get to write your own and he signs it. Dont stress and get to writing!!

Writing and I are not best friends, but I will get to it once I finish with my DAT on Tuesday.
