Okay, so for my girl fried and I are going to live in Canada Vancouver 3 weeks later. I am fresh out of D-School and have no experience other than D-School. i was wondering is anyone here know how much does average dentist in Vancouver makes if he owns a private practice? thanks my guys

I believe they're having a discussion on how much dentists make in Canada over at premed101.com, on the dentistry forum. Just to warn you, there doesn't seem to be too much consensus, but I think the average starting salary for a dentist is around 50k to 90k in Canada.

The starting salary is the same (but in Canadian dollars, so I guess less with the exchange rate) for an associate, e.g. 90-120k depending on the area. Vancouver the city is pretty saturated like most major cities but as you move outwards I'm sure it gets better. Does your school have any alumni practicing in Canada? They might be a better resource. Also you have to take the licensing exams for Canada as well as get licensed in the provence you want to practice in, so take that into account.
