I know that there are a couple of reviews of the Childrens hospital in Denver, but I am interested to hear more opinions of what people thought about Denver, especially resident friendliness and helpfulness.

There was one resident at my interview dinner. Literally. One.

That cannot bode well. They won't be on the top of my list, that's for sure.

Although the hospital is amazing...

There were about a dozen at my interview as well. They were all PL-2's but I met a lot of interns during interview day. I didn't get the impression that they were "overworked" at all.

I'm not exactly sure if this is how it is at Denver, but at my program, we (the residents) all like to go to the dinners in the first few months of interview season. But towards January, we kinda get sick of eating dinner at the same restaurant all the time, so we don't really go to the dinners as eagerly. That's probably what happened to you. It's probably not that they're overworked as much as they're likely just sick of the same dinners by now.

The decrease in residents as the season went on definitely seemed true to me. Can't say I blame them. Also, my assumption is that the hospitals have been getting progressively busier through interview season, so residents probably do have less free time now than November.

FWIW, I loved Denver's program (I did an away there). It's my top chioce.
