Does anyone know how much is the deposit to reserve a spot if accepted?
When is a good time to apply for Aug 2008? I am still hopeful with some US schools but I don't want to wait too long and end up getting nowhere!

They are usually 1500-2000 and a good chunk is refunded if you decide not to go.

Apply as early as possible for all semesters, although 6-8 months gives you an ideal amount of time.
