Depressing Topscore scores

Hey guys,

I have my real DAT scheduled this Saturday and I just took the last topscore test and wanted to know whether I should take it or postpone the date.

First topscore: AA 20 PAT 19 TS 19
Second topscore: AA 19 PAT 20 TS 19
Third topscore: AA 19 PAT 21 TS 18

I was hoping for atleast a 21 Academic Average but these scores are depressing the crap out of me.

Any advice is really appreciated!

Don't worry too much about topscore. I was in your shoes not too long ago. I postponed my exam twice because my topscore scores. Just study hard for the next few days and work on your weaknesses. I averaged around 17-18 for each section except PAT (avg around 22 on CDP). The most important thing is being confident and going in taking the exam with a steady head.

i haven't taken the dat yet, but based on my readings, I think you will be fine. if you want to be depressed and wast money, go get achiever =). i think you are fine though!

Haha, very true, achiever gave me a 16AA on first exam versus 18AA on first TS.

I thought TopScore was harder, especially GChem and OChem. Never got above a 19 on either in TopScore, got a 22 GChem and 25 OChem on the real thing, don't stress too much!

topscore in my opinion isn't as valid as it makes itself out to be and those arent terrible scores! just see what u got wrong and work on it.......what you should be relying on heavily should be kaplan review and kaplan subject tests......see how u do on those especially on those in timing and right answers...then try ur luck on destroyer after uve done all that.....make practice tests out of those problems.........your gon have bad scores before you do good.....soo keep going u look to be in good shape now try other resources.....best of luck

In the sdn world, anything below a 25 means failure...The funny thing is only 50 or so people score that high in a year, but we see about 60 people with that score on sdn. 🙄

What is sdn ?? I really need to get myself familiar with terminology here 🙂

don't worry. My Real DAT score was about 2 marks higher than my Topscore averages and about 3 marks higher than my DAT Achiever.

So Hang in there and I am sure you can get atleast a 21.
