I'm looking for an apartment within walking distance of the school. I prefer one that also houses a lot of DMU students (DO and other programs). The proximity to school is really important to me, I know I won't go to class if I live too far. Are there any other complexes besides 3000 GRAND?

I was also wondering about living in Des Moines. Does anyone know how ethnically diverse the student population as well as the city is?

there are numerous small apartment buildings near the school. some with 10 or 20 or maybe 30 units.

DM has lots of ethnic groups. Hispanic and SE Asian populations have grown alot recently. (you can get some great Vietnamese and Mexican food!)
