Is it recommended to give a description of organizations/extracurriculars that you bring up in your personal statement even though you've already gone over them in the activities section? I feel like I would just be repeating myself and wasting characters on something that won't add anything, but it feels odd just mentioning an organization...

Thanks!

Don't assume that your PS and Activities section will be assessed by the same person, or that both will be available to interviewers at every school. It's best to enter all pertinent activities, but try to use different vocabulary than you did in the PS. Maybe save PS for anecdotes and impact and Activities for description, role/ responsibilities, and what you learned (plus required contacts, dates, and organization), or some such division of content.

Ah, that's what I figured. I'll try to add a short description. Thanks!
