Designating PEF to some programs, not sending PEF to others.

Some of the programs I'm applying to require 5 PPI's no PEFS, other are requiring 3 PPIs and 2 PEFs. Would I be allowed to have 2 of my instructors write both a PPI and PEF, then send the 2 PEFs specifically to a program and don't send any PEFs to other programs?

Does the PASS portal allow me to do such a thing? I know it has been advised not to use the same people for PPI and PEF which is why I am asking this question. Thanks SDN.

don't know if this answers your question exactly, but when filling out my application under "designated programs" or something like that you can select which PEF's to show, some of the programs I applied to asked for 2, some asked for 1, some asked for 0. I'm not sure how to do that with PPI's though. So I guess for the program you're asking about maybe just select your other PEF and then use the person you want for PPI?

What about the programs that just state "3 letters of recommendation"? I'm guessing that refers to the 2 PEF's that PASS allows you to choose, and then the institutional evaluation? Someone correct me if I'm wrong... Also, does that basically mean that PASS will only show the schools those 2 PEFs you indicate?

Well.. that's my guess. The programs I am interested in really needs only 3 PEF's.. I am guessing 2 PEF and 1 Institution evaluation is sufficient. Am I correct ?? Or do I need to hunt for another PEF ?

so does the institution eval count as 1 PEF? what is the max amount of PEFs you can send to a program and do you have to designate the Institution eval as one of them if I already have 2 other PEFs?
