Desperado

Hahaha! I neither live on County Line Road nor have a garden (as I live in an apartment)! Guess that 299 on Step 2 doesn't make you so smart after all!!

Congrats on Arizona! I assume you've got the good salary news from Donna! A raise before we even start employment is pretty cool!

My wife and I just started house-hunting (we don't even have a Realtor...er agent...yet). We're checking out houses on the web though.

Or you're from Tucson or can give us any tips on the housing market, I'd be much abliged. Email me at [email protected]

jay(soon to be cat)doc 😛

I guess I guessed wrong. I figured the only incoming resident whose name started with jay had to be you. A little google search and there we go. suffice to say that one of our classmates will live on County Line Road and enjoys gardening, but apparently it isn't you. That's ok. That 299 hasn't done me any good anywhere else either. 🙂

RE Housing....barking up the wrong tree buddy. I'm getting burned on the condo I've owned through medical school. I think rental is going to be the way to go for the next three years. You can get a nice 3 bedroom place for $700 in Tucson. I"m loving that.

RE Salary....I was so happy. U of A was the lowest salary of anywhere I interviewed, now its right in the middle. I'm glad I didn't let it affect my decision.

See you down there.

Actually, that was my old address in Kansas City, but I moved to Wichita for my 3rd and 4th years.

I about to give up on getting a house too. Just getting preapproved for a loan is a nightmare. The odd thing is the Wells Fargo will count my U of A income (even though i haven't even signed the contract yet, but will not count my wife's nursing income because she doesn't yet have a job in Arizona. And now we find out that it might take 3-4 months to get a nursing license in Arozona. ARGH!! $700 a month sounds pretty tempting.

The salary thing is nice though. I felt the same way. I considered putting Vandy and Carolinas first because the pay was better. Worked out in the end though.

See ya in Tucson!
