Can anyone explain to me this pedigree problem??? I read their explanation but it doesn't make sense to me when I analyze the pedigree diagram. 🙁
 
x linked is when only females or only males have the disorder, but not both.
1) we see that no skipping of generations occurs, there for it is dominant not recessive. (there is a black box or circle in every generation)

2) It's not x linked because BOTH male and female acquired the disorder. ( You can see that because both circles and squares have the disorder in every generation. If its both than its autosomal just like I explained above.

thanks.. I think my stubborn brain kept thinking that it is x-linked as I was analyzing the diagram.. and going crazy as a result of that... 🙄
