Question 185 in the biology section. Shouldn't the answer be 25%? Or am I missing something? To be AB, you need both surface proteins (AB), not iA, iB, or ii. Romano says the answer is 100%?

A man with type A blood has children with a woman of type B. If both are assumed to be heterozygous, what is the probability of an AB child?

25%, you're right

Offspring has a chance to become any of the 4 blood types - 25% each

AO (Phenotype A)
BO (Phenotype B)
AB
OO

Yes. This was an error I remember that.

Type A Heterozygous = iA, Type B Heterozygous = iB

Edit: Oopsie, sorry. I thought you were saying you thought the answer was 100%. Yea it's definitely 25%.

Damn Romano, step up your game. Come on now.

right...i mean these books are so much $$$ they could at least have someone proof read it

*i think it would be a good idea if there was an (un)official dat destroyer error thread... or we could make this thread into one*
