I am a little confused on the wording for the solution to this problem. It says that in osmosis, a net shift occurs of solvent only through the membrane from less concentrated side to the more concentrated side. However, I have always learned that osmosis is the net movement of particles from high to low concentration, not from low to high. Thank you.

So here, the particle is not solute, but water since its osmosis. Less concentrated side (talking about solute) = More water (hence, low concentration). More concentrated side = Less water. Hope this helped
