Can some1 explain to me what he heck happends in these reactions? I have "reviewed" the organic. I took it 4 years ago. I thought my review was good enough and now im going over Destroyer Q's and im like "WTF mate!?" Can any1 explain these 2 me? Or at least one of them, so i can make up my own explanatoins for the ohter ones. Thanks.

Q's 28,29 or 30.

they use (CH3)3CO- K+ salt...wat in da world is that?

#28 & 29 make secondary halides, so think E2 or SN2. You add a strong bulky base and you have E2.

E2, SN2, E1 and SN1 are pretty tricky IMO. I would go over these in a text if this is confusing you.

#30 is a Diels-Alder rxn. It's a very easy one if you know the mechanism. I would wiki it if I were you.
