Q: given two compounds (toluene and C2H5-O-C2H5) How would you seperate these two compounds?
Answer Choices: NMR Spec, Acid/Base extraction, Simple Distillation, Combustion Analysis,or IR Spec?

Simple distillation. Differences in boiling points would lead you to this answer. The only other possible answer for separating compounds is acid-base extraction and this wouldn't work. The other three won't separate compounds.
