So i dont understand why b and d are not arromatic. b is basically benzene. That compound wont last a second and will transform into aromatic benzene. Same thing for d. Why dont they consider them aromatic?
 
The solution has answers to your question... look at the sp3 carbons, electrons cannot delocalize, and therefore not aromatic. Each atom has to have an empty p orbital....
