Anyone have the correct answer to # 148? ZI wrote out the question below but the answer in the back of the book has to be incorrect. it solves for different things.

Write out the questions here anyways. There are a couple of mistaks in the destroyer math. I do not remember if this is one. There was one mistake with scientiic notation.

5 both China and Japan only
3 both China and Phillipines only
2 all 3 countries
0 Japan and phillipines only

If 70 people participated in the survey, what % of people want to spend their vacation in Japan only?

IIRC they said 26 and it is supposed to be 19 or vice versa. I'm not doing it all out now, I'm tired.

There are no people listed for Japan only.........I am assuming after adding all the ones listed and subtracting from 70 that gives you the number that chose japan only? If that is true then 4 out of 70 chose Japan?

The easiest way to do this one is to draw out your 3 circles with the overlaps. Then you just fill in the information that you have and you will see what the answer is. Im dont have time to do it now, i gotta work a little but give me a half hour and maybe ill solve it.

Ah never mind i decided to solve. The answer is 19.
