To what extent should I have the roadmaps memorized? I ask because currently, I can do any of the predict the problem situations but I can't pull up the exact reagents from memory if the product is listed but the reagents are not. However, I feel that I can easily tell which steps are correct in synthesis situations due to knowing what each reagent does. So I'm curious if it is efficient to memorize the reagents down cold as well. 👍

Yes! Memorize the reagents. The roadmaps were so helpful. Even if they give you a reaction you have not seen before then the knowledge you have from the road maps can easily help you deduce the correct answer.

If you have gone through Chad's videos, the roadmaps are not hard at all. He covered like 95% of the reactions on the roadmaps.

I started with the Baby Roadmaps to build a little confidence then worked my way to the major road maps. I'm going over the last roadmap #6 tomorrow.
