ok...this FA Step 2 is not cutting it. i keep falling asleep reading this thing. after a long day at the clinic, its almost impossible to sit and read this book. so i'm thinking of replacing FA with B&W and Secrets. for those that have gone thru the test, are the details in B&W and Secrets enough to cover the exam? 😕

Yes. Crush/Secrets is a fast and easy read for quick review and the B&W adds details (IMO you need more detail than Crush/Secrets includes). This is all I used (plus QBank for questions) and I got >240.

Thanks to some of the advice I have gotten on this forum, I will be using Secrets as my main source of information, but I'll keep First Aid handy as a reference or when I might benefit from some additional details. So, yes, Secrets combined with Boards and Wards should have enough detail for CK. In addition to Secrets, I plan to do the questions from USMLEworld, which are excellent, from what I have heard.

I didn't blow the roof off the beast (225), but I would agree that the best prep for the exam is USMLEworld. The questions are tough and the explanations, thorough.

I agree with what everyone else is saying... FA was not the best for the step 2. I did BW, FA, and Secrets. Secrets is the best for this one. BW is maybe a little too detailed. I might review BW or Blueprints for OB/Peds work. Also don't forget trauma/ER. The real secret is the questions like everyone else here is saying. If I did the thing over again, which i wouldn't!, I would ditch the FA and BW all together and just do Secrets and USMLEworld...it was enough and I'm not the smartest hair on the raspberry.
