Had an interview Feb 22, waitlist Feb 28 ish. When I went to the interview they told me it was an interview for a waitlist spot as they already sent out all offers...
Havnt heard anything as of today.

However I did have a question for people here...I had an interview with an older polish gent born and raised in detroit, real beauty of a guy and for the life of me I cannot remember his exact name (probably because I get these names mixed up)....I know it was Dr. Bo---- something, but if it was Bodowski, Bokowski, Bobowski... I cant remember!! 🙁 Anyone have this guy and can confirm his name? Its been bugging me for a looong time.

Dr. William Berkowski? He interviewed me as well. He actually remembered the dentist that I shadowed, he pulled out his folder of class photos and new the exact year and place his picture was. The man is a genius, another reason im thrilled to start UDM next year.

YES.
Thank you. Its one of those names that...I get mixed up. Man is incredible, he actually googled my family and we talked hockey for a while. Bought me a box of donuts when I left, pure beauty XD

he interviewed me as well. If UDM's profs are mostly like him, UDM would be an awesome place to be. I'm not saying UDM isn't a great school, which it is, but you know what I mean. He seems like a very good man.

on a side note got a call today from Dr. Jeffers, so the waitlist has begun to move. Keep fingers in the crossed position everyone, and Good Luck!!

Congratulation , I have been waiting since early Feb, my interview went really well, but I haven't heard anything back yet. The question is how long should I wait ? Should I prepare myself for next cycle ?

would you mind sharing your stat so we know where we are standing?
Thanks!

Sure man. Its a little different as I am from Canada and wrote the Canadian DAT. Thats why I applied so late as you can only write it Feb/Nov and it takes them 2 months to mark it. This led to an interview Feb 22. The sections are a little different but the are below

3.75 sci / 3.7 overall GPA in BSc. (Hons) program
22PAT
22 Bio
21 Science
21 Academic average
20 Chem
20 Reading Comp
11 Carving
>100 hours shadowing
Lots of biochem research experience with NSERC summer schol. and thesis project
4th and last year (whoo)
Started a volunteering group with ~60 members, ~1000 hours
uh...4 LOE

Not sure what else to tell you guys. if you have any specific questions bring them up

Should I prepare myself for next cycle? - Yes. It dosnt hurt to be ready right? I had already started planning it out, for me I would have wrote the American DAT or done my masters. Try more shadowing...thats easy to rack up. I dont know...

Why are you confused? Are you referencing the statement at the bottom :

"Should I prepare myself for next cycle? - Yes. It dosnt hurt to be ready right? I had already started planning it out, for me I would have wrote the American DAT or done my masters. Try more shadowing...thats easy to rack up. I dont know..."

3.72 19/19/21, canadian, interviewed in january

I wonder why they are giving out interviews this late. Hopefully that's a good sign for people on the waitlist.

Ya it doesn't make sense to me. Haven't heard much movement since December besides for interviews.

Just got a call and an email of acceptance to the UDM School of Dentistry. I was interviewed on April 13

I got a call from Dr. Jeffers today (which I missed), but I received no e-mail. What do you think that means?

It's kind of stressful, I really wanted to go here.....

Most likely You are in. Because Dr. Jeffers is the one who called me so I am pretty sure he was calling you for an offer of acceptance. GL

I have a mid-January interview at Mercy. So, to those familiar with UDM admissions, is this one of the schools where late interviews still give you a good shot at acceptance?
UDM is a great dental school, with a nationally recognized clinical education program. As of 5:00 PM January 4, 2013, UDM has received 104 deposits for the class entering August 2013. This means we now have 76% of the class filled, based on a total class size of 144.

We will continue to interview and expect that we will probably have another 75 positions to offer based on turnover. So, if you are interested in UDM, make sure you accept the interview offers...

The average GPA remains at 3.7, both science and overall.
The average DAT scores remain at 21 in every area of the DAT exam.

While we expect some turnover, these numbers represent record numbers in a many areas. This is the largest percentage in the history of the school that we have had confirmed deposits for our entering class on the first day of the AADSAS recruiting season.

These numerics only represent part of the story. We are also attracting high quality people, and based on interview comments, this next year's entering class will continue to represent the type of caring, empathetic people reflective of the School's Mission and Identity.
