Hi, i'm a junior (biochem major) who has recently begun to consider dental school. I understand the field requires a fair amount of manual dexterity and the use of various tools--I was wondering if any of you had any experience or opinions about having a slightly less than normal dominant hand. My right ring finger is about the size of my pinky (didn't lose any of it, just congentially short...i.e. full range of motion, mobility, etc.). Would this present a major hurdle in dental school? And more importantly, would it make me an URM? (j/k) Thanks 😀
