A couple folks mentioned using diagnostic algorithms in books or online for review, to supplement the review books.

Any ideas of which things we should review and be clear on as far as steps/management?

Let's make a list!

Diagnostic Algorithms
a) breast mass
b) thyroid nodule

A few more algorithms I've had to use to answer questions on boards and on wards.

Surgery:
- Multitrauma (very high yield)
- GI bleed (high yield)

OB:
- Ectopic pregnancy
- Spontaneous abortion
- Fetal hypoxia testing

GYN:
- Definitely the cervical neoplasia and breast mass, as already mentioned
- Primary amenorrhea
- Secondary amenorrhea

IM - Pulm:
- Lung nodule
- Thromboembolic disease (very high yield)

IM - Cardio:
- Main ACLS algorithms, but especially a-fib management
- ACS work-up

IM - Endocrine:
- Diabetes insipidus
- Cushing's syndrome

IM - Neuro:
- CVA work-up
