Just curious if anyone else used USMLE World along with MS2 classes and then did USMLE World again during their study period? If so, did you find it beneficial and would you do it again if you had to do it over? Any other advice about doing this or things that helped you????? Thanks in advance.🙂

I can let you know in June, but our third years used UWorld throughout 2nd year and they did very well.

I only think it works if you have national board exams during 2nd year (I could be wrong). We use UWorld for our cumulative exam which is an NBME exam for each organ system. I plan to redo the questions during study time, however I don't do all the questions available for each system so some of them will be new for me.

Yes I used UW as I went through second year and I did it again during the study period. First time through, I read every line of every question and tried to understand each question as best I could. It really pays off at the end, but it is a major major pain as you are doing it. I would also advice doing pharm and micro cards as you go. Just 2 a day of each and you'll be pleasantly surprised how much of it becomes second nature b/c you see the same stuff in UW.

Goljian rapid review should also be done as you go. DO NOT wait till the study period to finally pick-up that book. Also read FA in sections as you go.

Every step of the way (no pun intended), make sure you are UNDERSTANDING each question in UW as best as you can. It really adds up in the end.

One question I have is when you redid UWorld, did you feel like you were just remembering the correct answers from the first time, or did you feel like you had to go through the whole step-by-step process of figuring out the answer?

Good question. I feel like it would be hard to remember 2000 questions though.
