Did anyone else who matched get email about ERAS server being back in service?

I matched, but just got an email from ERAS stating their server is back up and running after being down and that people can now apply to 30 programs etc for scramble. I'm confused? Are they sending this to everyone?

I didn't get one.
However, it's ERAS, which is different from NRMP I think... so, not that it matters.

I matched and I received this e-mail. For those who did not receive it, it is as follows:

Dear ERAS Applicant,

As you know, the NRMP and ERAS have been experiencing technical difficulties
which adversely affected the delivery of our services today. I'm sorry for
any inconvenience this disruption may have caused, but I'm happy to report
that ERAS has been restored to normal operations.

After accessing the NRMP system for an updated list of unfilled programs, you
may use ERAS to apply to ACGME accredited programs with open positions. You
will be able to apply to a maximum of 30 applications, free of charge, until
12:00 midnight. Tomorrow and Thursday, you may submit 10 and 5 applications
respectively for any remaining positions. Again, please accept my apology
for the inconvenience this has caused.

Best Regards,

I also matched, and recieved the email. I hope they're sending it to everyone and this doesn't mean that the server problem somehow screwed up the match for everyone!

you're saying you matched and what you pasted is the email you got right? sorry i'm just really paranoid!! My NRMP site and email yesterday both said i matched

good lord, and to think if such a situation were to happen, it may not even make headlines given the global calamities.

I'd sue if it came back that I really didnt match :meanie:

Also, still no email. No, I'm not checking out my ERAS inbox either.:xf:

I think we are all paranoid lol. I received the e-mail that I matched yesterday, which was confirmed by the NRMP website. The above post is another e-mail that I received today at 5:06pm EST.

I think the reason they sent this out to everyone was to disseminate information as fast as possible, just in case you were helping someone scramble. I also think that an apology to all applicants would be necessary as any one of us could have suffered through this if we were in the scramble.

I got an email that I matched (I only applied to categorical positions, no preliminary positions) yesterday. I DID NOT receive an email about the servers coming back up. I logged into the NRMP website, and it also showed that I matched. Good luck to everyone scrambling, I feel for you and hope that the glitches are over with.

I also matched fully and did NOT receive any email about the NRMP server situation. Who knows what is going on.

Matched and got the email. 3 other people I know also matched and got the email. Chill out, everyone. They're sending it to everyone because ERAS has no idea who matched and who didn't--only the NRMP knows this.

I'm fully matched and did receive the email. <Shrugs>

Yeah, another fully matched person here that got that email. I also logged back into the NRMP website and it still says that I'm matched. I am hopeful that this is nothing, though would certainly feel better if everyone had gotten it.

I just now got the email and I'm fully matched. Everyone seems to be getting it regardless of matching or not.

Ok, thanks for posting LifetimeDoc - that's a little reassuring; I guess they are sending the emails out in waves (mine came at 6pm EST).

Same here. So I wouldn't worry about it relating to your match status.
